YouTube Teachers is a new YouTube channel launched by YouTube itself.

Its aim? - to inform teachers about the many ways that they can use videos in their learning environments.

YouTube Teacher features...

- video-based lesson plan suggestions,
-suggested playlists for a variety of content areas, and
-suggestions for creating videos with learners.

YouTube Teachers won't fix the problem of access to it being restricted by many learning providers, but it could help show some decision-makers the educational uses of YouTube in the classroom.

If practitioners are able to access YouTube in learning environments, YouTube Teachers could be a good source of lesson ideas for them.

If your learners are, in general, assessed/taught in a one-to-one environment, using Watch2gether could be a good way to share educational videos with them all and have short discussions or Q&A sessions about them.

Watch2gether is another website through which Practitioners and learners can watch YouTube videos and host text chats about them at the same time.

To use Watch2gether...

Enter a "nickname" for yourself (it could be your real name)
Search for a video or enter the url of a video that you have previously bookmarked.
When ready a chat column will be present on the right side of the browser.
Invite others to chat with you by sending them the url assigned to the chat.
Watch the video and discuss it - TOGETHER.

Free Video Lectures provides access to more than 18,000 video lectures from more than 700 courses offered by some of the world's top colleges and universities.

While practitioners could access the same content by searching the web, Free Video Lectures puts the content in one place for practitioners and their learners to access.

The Free Video Lectures library can be searched by subject and/or university. The video sources are a mix of YouTube and other providers. Many of the videos are available for free download.

All users have to do is provide the URL of the video that they wish to watch in order to have it played right before their eyes.
