VSee is free for personal use so learners can collaborate without having to buy a subscription. I'm unsure how pricing would work for a learning provider-wide deployment, but VSee does mention options for non-profit use in their FAQ section.

VSee is an alternative to Skype, which many learning providers block, for hosting a video conference and sharing desktops with others. Just as with Skype, users can hold multiple party calls and share their screen with others.

Where VSee tries to differentiate itself is...

  • the quality of their calls; and
  • connection speeds.

VSee offers...

  • HD video for clear call quality; and for mobile users,
  • 50% less bandwidth than Skype.

Sharing files through VSee is a simple drag and drop process of just dragging a file onto another person's video window during a call.
